Compassion and Generosity
The reflection by Rev. Jeanne Randall-Bodman presented on Sunday, August 2, 2026.
“In this best and worst of times, we too have enough, and more than enough, to offer the compassion Jesus calls us to. In this time of inflation, sticker shock at the grocery store, high rents and a tightening job market burdens on food cupboards and feeding programs are at record highs. So may this story remind us that what we offer can be enough, that the Spirit will magnify our efforts, and that compassion and generosity expressed boldly and openly will beget more compassion and generosity.”
