“By all means, we should examine our own lives for the aridness of a beaten path, for rocks of prejudice and entrenched thinking. We should watch out for the weeds of tending too much to our own wealth or position, or fixating too much on cultural fads. We should let go of anything that prevents us from being receptive to the seeds of God's word, to the seeds of love, and compassion, and justice.”
